What we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

- Engagement information exchanged while we scope or deliver work for your organisation, including business contact details and any material you choose to share with us.
- Usage data collected automatically when you browse the site, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and time on page, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we only use personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so:
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss how we might help, our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To provide our services and manage an engagement, performance of a contract with you or your organisation.
- To send occasional, relevant updates to existing business contacts, our legitimate interest in keeping in touch, and you can opt out at any time.

Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set with your consent. For detail on what we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, for example website hosting, email and analytics providers.
- Professional advisers such as our accountants or legal advisers, where needed.
- Authorities or successors where we are required to by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.
Storage and international transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement) so that your data stays protected.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless it leads to an engagement. Records relating to client work are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and to meet our legal, tax and contractual obligations, after which they are securely deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data and to ask us to correct, delete, restrict or transfer it, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@urbaniteconsulting.co.uk.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to put things right first.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk low and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
